A Democrat congressional aide has been fired after a gay sex tape filmed in the US Senate swept the internet.
Aidan Maese-Czeropski, 24, was let go from his job by Maryland Senator Ben Cardin Saturday afternoon. It came less than a day after a video showing two men having sex in a Senate room was exposed. Their identities have not been revealed.
A spokesperson for Cardin said: ‘Aidan Maese-Czeropski is no longer employed by the US Senate. We will have no further comment on this matter.’
Maese-Czeropski, who appeared in a 2020 campaign video with Joe Biden, had shared his own statement on LinkedIn Friday night, insisting he’d never disrespect his workplace.
He wrote: ‘This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda.
‘While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgement, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace.
‘Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters.’
Contacted by DailyMail.com Saturday morning, shortly before his firing was confirmed, Maese-Czeropski’s mother Magdalena Rivera Maese implied her son had been left distraught by what had happened, saying: ‘You don’t want to know how he’s doing.’
Maese-Czeropski also denied anti-Semitically abusing a Jewish Republican congressman over Palestine.
Senate staffer Aidan Maese-Czeropski has admitted he showed ‘poor judgement’, after a clip of two men filming themselves having sex in the US Senate went viral
Jewish Congressman Max Miller told the Washington Free Beacon that just days before the pornographic clips surfaced, Maese-Czeropski confronted him and screamed ‘Free Palestine’ in his face.
Maese-Czeropski said of those allegations: ‘As for the accusations regarding Congressman Max Miller, I have never seen the congressman and had no opportunity or cause to yell or confront him.’
Footage of the fling, first exposed by the Daily Caller, shows a young looking male staffer bent over a conference room in the Hart Senate Office Building.
Another man stands behind him, filming the sex act they’re performing in X-rated detail.
The staffer is seen in a separate picture naked and on all fours on a table where Senators often sit and ask questions during hearings.
The footage was allegedly shared in a private group for gay men in the political scene, and reportedly appeared on a since-deleted account on X.
Its owner identifies himself s a ‘twink’ (young, smooth-bodied gay man) engaging in sex acts with his older ‘bear’ partner.
According to his LinkedIn, Maese-Czeropski has worked in Cardin’s office since October 2021, and previously worked as a field organizer for the Democratic Party in Virginia and as a climate researcher for charity Friends of the Earth.
Cardin announced his retirement at the end of his current term in May, and his office has not commented on the allegations against his staffer. Maese-Czeropski did not immediately respond to attempts to contact him.

Congressman Mike Collins reacted to the video on social media and hit out at the actions of the alleged staffer.
‘Heck of a week for the Left,’ he wrote. ‘Gay porn japanese in the Senate, swearing in ceremony on child porn in Virginia, t****y tap dancers in the White House, and Satanic statues in Iowa. What else am I missing?’
The aide once appeared in a campaign video for President Biden in a ‘thank you’ message days after he won the 2020 election, briefly speaking with Biden in the montage clip.
A woman claiming to be his mother thanked the newly-elected President on X after seeing her son in the promo, saying her son has ‘worked tirelessly with the DNC of Virginia – congratulations to all!’
Maese-Czeropski allegedly caused a separate incident just days before the explicit videos surfaced, as Ohio Republican Congressman Max Miller accused him of confronting him over his support for Israel.

Miller claimed to the Washington Free Beacon that Maese-Czeropski marched towards him outside a coffee shop in the Cannon House Office Building on Wednesday, as he was mid-interview with NBC News’ Ali Vitali.
Miller said the aide was ‘visibly shaking’ as he made a beeline towards him, feeling the staffer was ‘very upset in my presence because he’s a snowflake.’
‘And he just comes right back up to me and was like, ‘Free Palestine”, Miller said.
‘And I was like, ‘okay’… I’m not going to give him a reaction because that’s what he wants.’
Miller claimed that Vitali was stunned at the exchange and branded it ‘blatant antisemitism.’
Vitali didn’t go as far in her own remarks on the incident, saying on X: ‘A House staffer just passed by GOP Rep. Max Miller —who is Jewish and has been supportive of sending aide to Israel— and said “free Palestine.”
‘Pretty rare and stunning to see staff challenge members to their faces this way.’
The aide denied the allegations in his statement to LinkedIn, claiming he has ‘never seen the congressman and had no opportunity or cause to yell or confront him.’
